Family Science Night- April 10, 2025
Join the High School Science Department for an evening of family fun with Physics!
At this event you will decorate and build a kite, make a rubber band car, and more!
The cost to attend is $5.
You get to take home what you make!
The event will take place from 3:00 -7:00 PM. You may arrive at any time. Stations will be set up for you to make various projects. The event will take place in room 224 in the High School. There will be signs directing you to this classroom.

The last day of school for students will be Thursday, May 29th. We appreciate all the hard work, dedication, and support from our students, staff, and families throughout the year, and we’re excited to finish strong!
For those interested in summer school, sessions will run from June 3rd through June 27th. More details will be shared soon.

We want to provide an update regarding the situation. The source of the leak has been located, and crews are actively working to correct the issue.
At this time, we plan to HAVE school tomorrow - Wednesday, March 12.
However, we want to be transparent that, despite the our best efforts, unforeseen challenges can arise.
Our team will be up early in the morning checking water pressure to ensure that restroom facilities are fully operational. If conditions change, we will notify you as soon as possible.
If you do not receive a call in the morning indicating otherwise, please plan for school as scheduled.
Please bring bottled water. The city will be under a boil order.

Hillsboro R-III School District – Snow Day Announcement
Due to inclement weather, the district will be CLOSED to all students and staff on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
There will be no school and no activities.

Due to the forecasted winter storm and out of an abundance of caution, there will be NO SCHOOL in the Hillsboro R-III School District on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
The storm is expected to impact our area midday, and given the district’s geographic size and the time required for buses to complete afternoon routes, this decision ensures all students and staff can be safely home before conditions deteriorate.
Announcing this closure the night before allows families time to plan, with safety as our top priority.
