To help families prepare for the 2026-2027 school year, the district has created a Student Break Planner that highlights every major school break, holiday, and extended weekend when students will be out of school.
Whether you're scheduling a family vacation, planning holiday celebrations, arranging childcare, or coordinating visits with family and friends, having these dates in one convenient place can make planning easier throughout the year.
The planner includes Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, teacher professional development days, and other student holidays, along with the tentative last day of school.
We know many families begin planning months in advance. Our hope is that this Student Break Planner becomes a helpful resource that families can save, print, or reference throughout the school year as they make plans.
You will notice that Christmas Break offers 13 days of vacation and Spring Break is 8 days long this school year.
The Hillsboro R-3 School District encourages families to save the graphic, share it with relatives and caregivers, and add the dates to their personal calendars.
