We are excited to introduce Mrs. Lorie Stearns as our new 8th Grade Special Education teacher! Mrs. Stearns brings both experience and heart to our team.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science in Education from Southwest Baptist University. Her journey in education began as a 5th grade teacher, and she has since taught special education at multiple levels, always advocating for student growth and success.
Mrs. Stearns shared, "I'm excited to join Hillsboro Junior High where I'll be teaching and supporting students during such a formative time in their academic and personal development." Her connection to our community runs deep—her three daughters, ages 10, 12, and 14, all attend Hillsboro schools. Outside of school they all enjoy traveling and spending time with their dog—a Bernedoodle named Oakley.
