Before and After School Program called Right At School starts in the Summer of 2026. Important Upcoming Meetings are in December 2025 , February 2026 and March 2026.

The Hillsboro R-3 School District has announced a new partnership with Right At School, a nationally recognized school enrichment provider, to expand out-of-school time programming for K-6th grade families. All of the activities will take place at Hillsboro Primary School. The partnership will offer families increased flexibility, wider program options, and expanded access to before- and after-school care.

Programming with Right At School will begin in the summer of 2026 with before and after summer school services. Registration opens March 9, 2026, and will remain open throughout the school year, eliminating wait lists for participating families. Important informational virtual meetings will take place on December 10, 2025 and on February 24, 2026. An in-person meeting will happen on March 4th with a location still to be determined.

The partnership provides several key benefits, including no increase in current out-of-school time rates. Families will have access to flexible weekly scheduling options, from one to five days per week. Drop-in care will be available, along with the option to purchase a 10-day drop-in punch card. Discounts will be offered for siblings, military families, district employees, and families who qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch. State subsidies will also be accepted.

Additional program features include care options during winter break, spring break, and non-school days. During summer school, Right At School will offer morning programming from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. and afternoon programming from 3:45 to 6 p.m. Full-day summer camps will be available after summer school concludes, running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Right At School provides a comprehensive enrichment curriculum designed to keep students engaged academically and socially. Students will receive a healthy snack, participate in fitness activities, work on student-driven projects, take part in team-building and leadership development, and have time to complete homework. The program also incorporates two-week themed units to offer a variety of learning experiences.
