HiSTEP (high school taught education program) Educators is a program that is overseen by Counselor Tish Naeger. Students train, prepare, and then deliver lessons to the younger buildings.
This year, students taught multiple lessons to 3rd, 4th, and 8th graders. These lessons were about friendship, self-esteem, handling bullies, problem-solving, managing feelings, and making healthy choices.
As these students train for their lessons they keep in mind their FAVORITE teachers and the things those teachers do to make them feel heard, accepted and welcomed.
Thank you to all our staff for being amazing mentors to these great students who then go to the other buildings and pass that on to our younger Hawks.
