Schneider Rebate

Hillsboro R-III School District received a $98,182.29 rebate from Ameren Missouri for the recently completed energy efficiency project at district facilities, including the Primary, Elementary, Intermediate, Junior High, and High School buildings. The comprehensive construction project included upgraded interior and exterior lighting to LED technology district-wide and mechanical renovations at the Primary School that resulted in over $100,000 in savings annually. Superintendent, Dr. Jon Isaacson, said, “We implemented this project because these were necessary improvements for our district, and we were presented with a unique opportunity to fund these improvements without negatively impacting our budget or taxpayers.”

The rebate is a result of Ameren Missouri BizSaver’s Program. “Being fiscally responsible was a top priority with this project,” said Hillsboro Chief Operating Officer Kelly Genge. “This rebate is just one example of the many ways the district was able to leverage advantageous funding to pay for upgrades that positively impact our students and staff without negatively impacting our bottom line.”

Hillsboro R-III School District is composed of 107 square miles in the center of Jefferson County with approximately 8,040 residential dwellings within the District’s boundaries, just 35 miles south of downtown St. Louis. HSDR3 strives diligently to provide a sound education program designed to meet the needs of all children in our District. Together: Inspiring. Empowering. Educating.
