INTRODUCTION

You are the leader of the alien explorer squad. Your team has been researching those interesting beings called humans on planet Earth. So far, your team has learned all about the outside of the human body, but you are still stumped about how the humans work on the inside of their bodies. Be warned: you have entered a realm you have never seen before. You will learn things about the human body you never knew were possible. Okay snatchers...here we go!!

THE TASK

Your mission is to snatch and take over 10 internal body parts from the humans, study them, and report back to your alien colony.

THE PROCESS

1. First your teacher will place you in a group.

2. Choose a group member to lie down on a piece of butcher paper (your teacher will supply the paper.)

3. Trace around the group member's body with a pencil.

4. Next, your teacher will assign each group member certain body parts to snatch and research.

5. Click on your assigned body parts to "snatch" and become the part. You will learn:

A. What you look like

B. What you do

C. Where you live inside the human body

Be sure to visit the resources listed for each body part to learn more about the organs.

6. Next you will draw pictures of your body parts and color them.  Make sure they are the appropriate size to fit your paper body.

7. Write a paragraph describing:

A. What you look like

B. What you do

C. Where you live inside the human body

8. Each group will glue the body parts in the correct places on the outlined body you made in step 1.

9. Groups will present their bodies to the alien colony (the class).
