Fourth grade students
have the opportunity to vote on their favorite book from a list of twelve
nominees sponsored by the Missouri Association of School Librarians (maslonline.org).
To qualify, students must read (or have read to them) four of the books
from the list. Voting is done in March. Books on this list qualify for
the Accelerated Reading Program.
Third grade students may participate in the Show Me Readers Award reading program which is sponsored by the Missouri Association of School Librarians (maslonline.org). Each year a MASL committee selects a list of ten books. There are eleven this year due to a tie. To qualify to vote, students must read or have read to them six of the eleven books. Voting takes place in March. Books on this list qualify for the Accelerated Reading Program.
