HOME ACCESS SYSTEM AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

 

1.  JAVA runtime environment - Latest version required and it can be downloaded from http://www.java.com

 

2.  Adobe Acrobat Reader - Latest version required and it can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com

 

3.  Windows Updates - All the latest updates must be installed and they can automatically be installed by running Windows updates through Internet Explorer.  It is located in the tools menu of Internet Explorer and it is called Windows Update.

 

4.  All Pop-up blockers must be turned off.  Please understand that most toolbar add-ons like Yahoo, Google, etc. have their own version of pop-up blocker.

 

5.  PC operating system must be Windows XP with service pack 2 or Vista.  As stated previously, the latest Windows updates must be installed.  The latest MAC systems (OS 10 or higher) should be acceptable as well.

 

6.  It is strongly recommended that the home internet access be connected via DSL or Cable network.

 

7.  When initial accessing the Infinite Campus server and then while starting the gradebook, you will need to accept all security certificates.

 

8.  Internet Explorer version 6 (or higher) or FireFox version 2.0 (or higher) required for access.  Firefox has been reported as being faster for use with Infinite Campus.
