FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS
1. How do I get an account to access the Campus Portal? Forms are available
online at www.hillsboro.k12.mo.us/infinite_campus or at the Primary,
Elementary, Intermediate, Jr. High, or Sr. High Offices. Complete
the form and return to any building. A confirmation email will be
emailed to you, requesting a reply. Once a reply has been
received, your activation key will be emailed to you.
2. I sent an email but have not received a response from school. Check to make sure
the email was not blocked. Sometimes it can appear as SPAM.
If you still do not see it, contact the building to which you sent the form. 3. I am not seeing my child's name in the Campus Portal. Contact the building
to which you sent your Campus Portal Form. They will need to
change a setting on the Portal.
4. What do I do if the information is not accurate for my child? Contact the building
secretary to make the necessary changes.
5. I can't remember my username or password. Email
campus_support@mail.hillsboro.k12.mo.us
6. My account has been locked and I can no longer log in. Email
campus_support@mail.hillsboro.k12.mo.us
7. When I checked my child's attendance, it is showing the letter P, but there is no explanation in the Legend to what that means. The letter P
represents a code that has been added by the district and not built
into the software. Examples include School Activity, Office,
Nurse's Office, and Counselor's Office. Anytime these codes are
used, they will appear as the letter P. However, the student is
considered present for the hour.
8. Is student information secure on the Campus Portal? Information stored is
encrypted and uses a high level of internet security. Campus
Portal requires a User Name and Password and strong password syntax is
enforced. Parents and guardians can only see information related
to the students they are authorized to view.
9. I checked my student's grade and two days later the grades have not changed. Teachers are only
required to update grades once a week.
10. Even though I turned in a doctor's note, the Campus Portal stills shows my child with an unexcused absence. In the K-6 and 9-12
Grade Levels, the system only records absences as unexcused.
However, it is imperative that you call school if your child is absent
and to bring any doctor, dentist, or other relevant note to school for
documentation. In case of appeals at the high school level, this
documentation will be referred to when making decisions. All
calls to school are documented in the attendance comments of the school
software.
